About Thea

I'm a software engineer who likes building small, well-considered things rather than big, sprawling ones. This server started as a way to keep a journal and read manga without handing that data to a third party, and grew into a place for local media, course work, and a few research reproductions from my studies.

Everything here is hand-rolled: SvelteKit on the front and back end, Drizzle over Postgres and SQLite for storage, and just enough infrastructure to keep it self-hosted. If you're curious how any of it works, the source is public.

Small, not big

Every app here does one thing. No dashboards, no feature creep — just the parts I actually use.

Own your data

Journal entries, reading progress, and media stay on infrastructure I control, not a third party's.

Built to learn

The academic section exists because rebuilding a paper's results or a textbook data structure teaches more than reading about it.
